Busia - a DRY PORT town

Busia County is indeed headed for great days ahead, this is certain after the County CEO, His Excellency Hon.Ojaamong disclosed that his plans of transforming Busia into an Inland Port or a Dry Port as he termed it were at an advanced stage.

The implications of this are immense - there will be no doubt the creation of thousands of new jobs, an influx of investors in the banking and hotel industries and even more growth of the town, it wont thus be far fetched to consider "Busia City" in about ten years time.

This Week in Busia has learnt that the tentative location for the said port will be somewhere in Matayos Sub County.
