Busia Women Rep 2017 race takes a major turn

                                                              Mama Isabella Masinde

The August 2017 general election promises to be an election like no other, more so in Busia County.

Great men and women continue to offer themselves for office for the various seats (only the senatorial seat remains largely uncontested as the incumbent is yet to declare his intention to retain his seat, neither has any serious candidate publicly declared his/her candidature)

The Busia County Women Representative race on its part is heating up day by day, from the incumbent, to Mama Hellen Mukanda, Susan Mangeni amongst others, the list has been growing steadily over the months.

However, things have since taken an interesting turn with the coming in of Mama Isabella Masinde, an environment and climate change expert with immense community development experience and a strong track record of women and youth empowerment.

Mama Isabella's candidature is sure to be a major game changer as it injects maturity, honesty and dedication to the county politics.

This Week in Busia team wishes Mama Isabella all the best as she seeks to introduce issue based politics in the Women Rep campaigns.
